Function generators
« on: June 02, 2013, 11:08:37 am »
I seem to be building different types of generator's of late , so far , a pulse generator, also a fast edge pulse generator from W2AEW you tube channel, now I've gotten interested in a sweep generator , which seems to have several uses so looking for a simple effective circuit. which will be the last one I build for a while.
The next project after, is a simple pc based simple  spectrum analyser  by a radio amateur EI9GQ who's  Homebrew cookbook I have, so the first part is the noise generator, and I'm wondering if there's a way to connect it to my scope rather than computer, one it's uses are when building filters, for amateur radio to see there cut off frequency, and it uses the computers sound card to display the plot, can't wait to get at it. ;)

Sounds interesting. Do you have a website where you publish it? Once I've implemented a simple function generator, too, with a FPGA development board:

Hi Frank, no I do not have a website, I do find these things fascinating though, just getting a good understanding of them before I move on, W2AEW Alan has a good circuit on you tube , of a fast edge pulse generator, and it works really well, a good simple build. I hardly use my bought frequency generator now as I use my own instead, very satisfying.

OK good  this is my version of W2AEW fast edge pulse generator, Alan's video will explain all about it
