Getting started with softcore in VHDL
« on: March 20, 2016, 02:30:14 pm »
Hey guys.
I'm trying to get into softcores on FPGA's.
I know VHDL, have a Basys 3 board and a MachXO2 board from Lattice.
For a project, i need to implement a softcore.
Where can i get started in the whole web of softcores ?

I assume it's downloading the softcore IP, connecting a clock to the correct signal ?
What about the hex memory for the instructions, with what tool can i compile them, should i place it in bram or ...
Any help getting bootstrapped is welcome!
