GNU Radio Hack RF FFT example
« on: May 20, 2018, 02:26:13 pm »
Hi @all,

I'm trying to go trough the Hack RF tutorial from https://greatscottgadgets.com/sdr/1/ . In the first video he is implementing FFT over FM radio band.
As mentioned in the errata, I've changed "Options" to WX GUI. Otherwise the settings are as explained. Howver, when I run the graph, only a icon with a question mark appers in the task bar, but nothing happens otherwise. (https://ibb.co/jY8yBx).

When following the warning and adding a throttle block, I get a error that some things are not connected... (https://ibb.co/jRGwyc).

It doesn't make a difference if RF hardware is connected or not.

Any ideas?

Thank you for your help!

regards,
Martin

PS: I've tried asking this on the GNU Radio mailing list, however my mail didn't show up, even after registring  :wtf:

It looks like the hardware source block and the WX FFT sink are greyed out, ie. disabled. Right mouse click on both of them and make sure that they are enabled.

You should never need a throttle block if your flowgraph has a (enabled) hardware source or sink.
