Good cheap place to order 12 AWG 680/0.08 cable?
« on: August 03, 2015, 01:15:59 pm »
I ordered from Ali Express and got 65/0.25 (known as 65/30 in the US) under the guise of 680/0.08. Paid about $2.10 USD per meter. Resistance measured horribly, but the wire was at least the right diameter.

Is there a good (perhaps Chinese seller) that people have ordered fine stranded tinned copper wire from and gotten what they ordered? Ebay and ali-express are OK, as long as you've dealt with the company before and they've actually sent you the cable you ordered.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Try searching for "SIS" wire.

Ebay is your best friend (well maybe not actually) but they might have the gauge you are looking for but i would recommend your local electronics store if they have it
Hope this helps

The biggest problem with eBay is people advertising copper and selling you CCA or steel. They get away with this because most people do not measure the resistance of the wire they receive.
