Hakko 808 - Solder sticking near end of heating element.

Greetings all,

I'm desoldering another older board and I am having to unclog the nozzle abut every 5th desolder. I should say, it's not actually the nozzle, it seems to get stuck at the end of the heating element. Is this normal? Or does it sound like something might be bad?
