I have a Hantek 6022BE and it serves me well.  However, don't take that as an endorsement from an expert.  I am merely a hobbyist with rather low requirement.  I am not experienced with electronic design or repair.  I have taken analog and digital electronic courses in college and graduate school.  I am merely "playing around" trying to relearn something I used to know better than I do today.

In my case, it is worth every bit of the $70 I spend on it.  I found it useful in my testing and experimenting.  It helps me capture certain events, decide what capacitor to use for noise reduction by seeing the actual wave form, so forth.

The 6022BE is very limiting but useful.  If you do a search, I wrote a rather extensive reply with screen prints to another person asking a similar question in this forum.  You may find that useful.

I also own a 6022.

I bought it as a simple DSO to accompany my Hantek Logic Analyser and Arb Waveform Generator.

My honest opinion is that, for my specific requirement, it was worth the money BUT as a general purpose DSO its severely compromised by the poor quality of the software. The Hantek hardware appears to be of decent deign and quality but the software does not make the best use of it and has some shortcomings that could be rectified with new software. Sadly Hantek do not appear to have any interest in providing better software. Third party software is available for some of the Hantek DSO's and this demonstrates that the hardware is decent and that the issues are software related. I suggest you Google Hantek DSO software to see what DSO's are supported by third party software.

It is still my honest opinion that PC DSO's are a compromise solution as a general use instrument. I own several different manufacturers PC based DSO products. I would always recommend a bench DSO to the hobbyist wanting their first decent digital scope.

They are worth the money, but maybe the question you should ask is "Are they the right choice for me?".

what kind of work do you do? Are you experimenting, learning a lot and constantly evolving, or just need a scope for some specific task?

I concur with the above responses.

As well as the Hantek6022BE , I also have an old Picoscope 2202.
In my opinion the picoscope software is much better than the hantek software (for these models).

For most of my needs I use an old Hameg 20MHz analog scope, but when I need capture and/or portability I use the USB scopes.

In terms of the hardware, noise etc. They perform as specified, please ignore whatever analog bandwidth the seller claims, since some will divide the sample rate by 2, others by 4 or 5 etc.  It really depends on what you will be using it for. A sample rate x5 of your analog bandwidth should be the minimum.

I use mine for audio. So the Hantek 6022BE 48MSps / 2 channels = 24MSps per channel is more than adequate.
