help choosing power supply for logic board testing

Great forum!
Being new to the field, and setting up my lab I need help finding a compatible bench power supply for testing Macbook Pro's logic boards. My Rigol ds1052 is on the way and I understood that if I power a logic board with a retail Apple adapter it will not work due to the third prong to earth connection? I use an Apple magsafe power adapter and a multimeter to test general voltage, resistance ect... The magsafe adapter is 85w with an input of 100-240V 15.A 50-60 Hz and an output of 18.5v=4.6a and 16.5v=3.6a. I want to power the boards safely to further diagnose failed SMD's, components, connectors and or traces using my Rigol. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi. Old post. May you have an answer too.

But my experience is. I have a cable, cutter from a dead old magsafe charger. The cable inside have the magic. Not the charger. I use that cable connected with my Agilent PSU and working like a charm. OSX System profiler show that is a 60W MagSafe original charger. That means, the plug have the one wire chip inside. Not the charger.
