Using Voltage Divider to Make HV Measurements
«

Hi everyone!
I was just wondering if I could use an RC filter at the output of voltage divider to reduce noise in the readings. I have attached the circuit I have in mind.
Thanks,
Ali

Probably several 2512s in series, they were part of the symbol I'm using for resistors.

It's a reasonable idea. Obviously not with 0805 parts. The voltage and power rating of both (especially the upper) resistor needs to be respected.
Here's a link to a site which a handy calculator for selecting resistor values to use in a potential divider.

There's no need for another resistor to make the RC filter. The output impedance of the potential divider is equal to both resistor value in parallel, so just choose a capacitor to give the required cut-off frequency.

Yes hé can do it with 0805 or even smaller, just put 50-100 in series
