DS18B20 18B20 TO-92 Thermometer Temperature Sensor
Data sheet link:
http://cdn.sparkfun.com/datasheets/Sensors/Temp/DS18B20.pdf
I need a chip that reads a certain current then switches off the circuit.
Fairly simple operation. It will need to read the binary output of the thermostat.
I've no idea of what sort of chip to look for, this will be a learning experience for me.
So if you don't know, but have an idea of how/where to start that would also be great. Cheers in advance.

Any microcontroller should do the job, but you need to program it to comunicate with the sensor via 1-wire bus. Seems a bit of an overkill to use such sensor though. If it's just a thermostat switch then a simpler sensor like the lm35 or tmp36 with a comparator (or a regular opamp) will do the trick.

LOL, I want to get a note 7 and walk around pretending to talk on it, and have a little vapouriser inside, so smoke is coming out the top.
