Help on DF20 Hirose connector
« on: February 08, 2015, 04:15:01 pm »
Hello!

I have a device which interfaces with the outside world through a DF20F-30DP-1H(59) Hirose connector. It's a 30 pin, 1mm spacing, double row connector
(here's the datasheet: http://www.mouser.com/ds/2/185/e68600100-24449.pdf). The connector has only 15 pins actually used.
I have checked the mating connector socket, and I think it is the DF20A-30DS-1C.
I have seen these connectors every now and then, especially used in older notebook computers.

And now, my problem: I cannot find anyone willing to sell me just one or two such connectors, but the really big problem is the actual contacts: the specific Socket Crimp Contacts used need a dedicated crimping tool that costs various hundreds of dollars /euro!!
I cannot afford such costs, especially considering that once the couple connectors are built, I would have no further use for the crimper tool. Is there anyone here that has mercy and that could sell me a couple socket connectors, and 30 crimped UL1571 AWG #28 wires, at least 10cm long each?
