I am using the AideTek Box-All, it works awesome for SMD's. The only downside is that the stickers that ship with them are not very sticky.

Hello,

For labeling boxes I started using painters scotch tape. Works well, even to grab components together in bundles. :)

Cheers

I have tried many, from dedicated drawers to DIY ways.

So far, the winner method was of paper envelopes cut in half, then grouped together in all kind of boxes:

Nothing beats that.  Easy access, easy handling almost Rolodex like, low footprint, detachable, easy to reorder/extend or remove values, dirt cheap to DIY more of them in seconds, easy to label or to add later notes on them etc.

I use lots of these suggestions.
I like the envelope one and buy old 3 X 5 card file boxes from second hand stores. Have one for "Resistors" , "1% Resistors", one for "high volt caps" etc...

Works well for thru hole devices.

I like the smd sampler approach also. I make my own clear plastic sheets using a crafting method. You can make any size pocket in a cheap plastic "protector" Works well for  loose leaf sheet size units and make the pockets any size you want. It is just a soldering iron with a roller tip.
