you cant avoid spamming... my advice, go to buy sell section, make an intro and website of your company, and make sure:
1) your website is price/quotation and english language "friendly".
2) you reply to anybody make query into your box, (or provide FAQ section in your web) we call this "customers support", even if they havent make any order we still treat them as "potential customers"
3) deliver the service as promised. promise is what you showed in your web, you replied in the email and whatever you say or type or swear.

In Chinese, the phrase "report to moderator" may not have the same connotation, because "report" is a rather generic word so it might've been interpreted as "tell us about you"...

on that note - topcircuit start by hiring ENGLISH speaking person. No one will take you seriously if you cant communicate with "little people".

I don't care what a non english speaker makes of the reporter button, if he uses it to send a spammy message apart from having spammed the forum too (which i found because by spaming the report to moderator form he alerted me to his activities) he will get banned end of !

Seems that it's just a cultural difference.  I'd give the guy a break as he seems well intentioned, unlike some of the blatant spammers we get.

The spammer over report button guy is gone as he was starting to spam the forum too. The OP of this thread may stay as long as he plays by the rules. We are tolerant but spam is very quick to be put up and takes at least as long to take down.

The poster may have been a poorly written spam bot.

This is the Wikipedia definition of Forum spamming;

"Forum spam is the creating of messages that are advertisements, abusive, links to other websites or otherwise unwanted on Internet forums."

Many forum posts have links to other websites and advertisements at the bottom of every message posted. See posts in this Topic as examples.

The key phrase from your definition that you ignored is: " or otherwise unwanted on Internet forums" which is decided by u moderators and that is what our discretion as moderators is for and we use our instincts in selecting out the spam from the good stuff.

Hello Simon

My apologies. I thought by spam you meant the OP was trying to use his post to advertise his business.
