how to simulate mc34063 in proyeus

i tried to simulate boost converter in proteus but its simulation takes too much time to be done....i dont know whats the problem...is there any one to help me plz?

Switchers are always slow, especially if your computer isn't great. I just let a simulation + automated analysis of a UC3843-based SEPIC run overnight! Be patient.

Also, try other software. LTspice is pretty quick.

thanks for reply....are u sure it is natural to takes that much time ? cause i thought maybe i should change time step or sth which dis not affect ...what a bout pspice....can it simulate mc34063 ?

All SPICE can simulate a SPICE model.

One key piece of info here: how long is 'this much time'?

No, for a simple MC34063, that is way too much time. I just simulated the same circuit in LTspice and it took one minute to do 21ms.

what kind of capacitor and inductor did you use? by that time! ... output had big ripples....and it was not suppose to be...
