How to understand this data sheet (pressure sensor)
« on: September 13, 2015, 02:01:08 pm »
Hi!

I'm looking to build a small arduino based (maybe mbed system) pressure sensor+LCD display, and am deciding on what pressure sensor to start the project with.
I need to read a range of approx 0-30psi (0-200kpa) and these pressure sensors are cheap on RS.
I want to keep the project simple, and understand this sensor needs a 0-10V power input, but  I cannot understand what output range the sensor has?

More expensive sensors are quite clear that they are 0-100mv output, so easy to build the rest of the design around.
But  I want it to be cheap :) So looking to understand the cheap sensors first.

Datasheet: http://docs-europe.electrocomponents.com/webdocs/0ef4/0900766b80ef4279.pdf
RS link: http://uk.rs-online.com/web/p/pressure-sensors/7191156/

Many thanks!

As the datasheet says: Full scale span 40mV. The full scale being 20 to 200 kPa for the 2202A sensor.

Oh thanks,

I got confused by the Min38.5 Avg40 Max 41.5 part, but I see how that fits in now, margin of error/accuracy.

0.2mV/kPa sweet ;)
