Hi,
since this is my first post, a little introduction probably is in order:
I'm Paul, a
29 30
year old webdeveloper from germany. Also I am an absolute electronics newb. I recently got into building racequads because i wanted to do more soldering. That kinda snowballed a little and I just ordered a few naked PCBs to build some ESCs for an electric skateboard (well - a mountainboard but whatever). For that I do obviously need a remote, but couldn't find one that is to my liking.
Then i found a guy on a different forum, who built his own remote with an arduino and of the shelf parts which was kinda what i wanted, but still not quite. Therefore I installed CircuitMaker and started reading datasheets.
I know have a schematic with a SAMD21 microcontroller, a powersupply, a batterycharger and an usb port. Thats basically everything you need to do absolutely nothing.
Since this is the first time I have ever done that I wanted to post that here in the hopes that somebody could take a look and tell me if and where i went wrong before I start and acutally figuring out how to add a display and the rf circuits
Thanks in advance!
A few specific things I'm not sure about:
- The stat output of the chargerIC is a tri state output and its relative to the USBs Voltage (so high is 5V) That would be too much for my uCs inputpins. NowI added a voltagedivider to ground so the pin is pulled low when it is not charging (and no usb is connected) and high is only 2.5V so I can sense that as high on a digital pin of my uC. Im not sure if that will work...
- jI'm pretty confident that the powersupply would work, but I wonder if its too much?
- Is the way i connect things correct? I mostly just use the bar style PowerPorts to create signal lines
Any kind of constructive criticism would be very welcome
Paul
