ICL8038BC what to do with it?

hello, i have been tidying my bench today and sorting out my component draws (monster task as it has a tonne of random components in that need sorting) and i came across a ICL8038BC from RS (306-314) and i noticed that it was a waveform generator.

is this chip any good? if so how would i use it to make my own waveform generator?

Have you thought of searching Google for the datasheet using the IC name?

The datasheets explains how it works and has a few circuit examples you could use.

Just remember that that IC runs pretty hot, a stick on heatsink will not go amiss.
