Identifing the function of an IC labeled with "TMS3731BNL"
« on: October 12, 2015, 08:34:12 am »
Hi!

I got a lot of old ICs from an electronic supplier here in Germany. One of those ICs is the "TMS3731BNL" from Texas Instruments (I actually got 30 of them). I've already tried to identify the IC using the standard Google method and the TI website but didn't find any information besides the name of the IC on some broker forums. I also asked this question on a German electronics forum (http://www.mikrocontroller.net/topic/378873?goto=4306473) but got no response.

So I thought that it might be a good idea to ask it here: could you help me to identify the IC, please? The information given on the chip is as follows:
Code: [Select]
TMS3731BNL
7113    QB
GERMANY 8727

Clearly manufactured in the 27th week of 1987 (so "Germany" might be wrong, it's more likely West Germany  ;) ) . But that's all what I know and could find. I've also attached an image of the IC.

Greetings from Germany,
mythbu

Thank you very much for identifiying this chip but it is not useful for me, so I'll throw it into the garbage bin ...  :(
