Identifying capacitors - looking for help
« on: September 11, 2017, 09:20:56 pm »
Hello,

I need help in identifying the type and if possible also the manufacturer of some capacitors.

The capacitors are rectangular, 7.5x5.5x2.8 mm and are used for both decoupling and filtering in a small low noise amplifier which is 10-15 years old. Two markings are used, "156" (15uF?) and "686" (68uF?).

Any suggestions would be very welcome!

Jonas

I think you got the values right at 15uF and 68uF.  Given the case size and the polarity marking, I think that makes them solid tantalum capacitors.
