Input Sensitivity \L25D Amp
« on: August 19, 2016, 03:41:27 pm »
Hello All!!.

I just bought 2 mono amps L25D By LJM,it says its 200-250w at 8 ohm load(MONO) but doesn't sound like a 200-250w amp, its like a 50w amp
It says Input Sencitivity 1,6V
(using as input a laptop 1v)

is that the maximum or the minimum Input?

Normally it means 1.6V input to get maximum power whatever that means. look at the power transistor specs or datasheet. You have to supply a suitable supply voltage to get the current and power that you want. What does this amp manual say? Eg. if it's 50V then it's unlikely you can come close to 200W. :P

it says  70v+- DC
min 60v      max 80v
I used a +- 55v dc

here's the schematic

Since it says 60V min. but you used 55V. Do check CP1 and C2 voltage rating before you try increasing voltage, you may damage your amp. Also check IRFB4020n datasheet.
