Hi,

I have a wearable project that consumes ~5uA static and peaks at ~1mA for about 40ms every second. I am currently powering it with a non-rechargeable CR1225 coin cell (3V) but would like to use something with a little more capacity and rechargeable. I was considering a 80mAh NiMH rechargeable button cell and boost it to ~2.5V. I was wondering if the TPS610992 ultra low Iq  boost converter (which seems to total 1uA Iq accounting for the in and out pins) is a good choice for this. Most boost converters become very inefficient at such low current draws. Is the quiescent current the main culprit here? Thanks!
