i was struggling thinking that i needed to control two high side switches.
but on a second though, as the circuit is powered by a bipolar supply its a good old high and low side half H bridge.
am i right?

sorry if this requires more info from my part, but im assuming it does not.

That looks single phase.2 diodes in that configuration is a full wave rectifier. The Fets are switches.

im aware of that part, but i dont know if i can consider both fets on the high side of the load or the one controling the positive rail is on the high side and the other controlling the - rail is the low side switch. im guessing its the later

For your purpose you can consider it an H bridge.
For a moment when I saw the two capacitors in series, this circuit reminded me of an NPC converter.(neutral point clamped)

the diodes and caps are
delon bridge voltage doubler
but in this case is to produce dual dc rails. the mosfets (bjts?) are the switching circuit. when top is turned on, it provides current to the windings, after sometime, it will be turned off, and the bottom mosfet will turned on to draw current from the windings. since the bottom mosfet is on the lower rail, so it should be the low side pass element.
