I hope that's a typo and you actually meant to say 18A.
If it is 180A then you want to make sure your alternator can actually produce that much current. Not many can.
That's why I'm planning to look into it. It won't be for very long as far as the compressor being on. Relatively short.

That's the kicker. GM offers a 220A alternator, but I have to talk to the service guys first before I go about it and also have them piece together an auxiliary battery harness. Not sure what either will cost me, but it all just depends.
