Just bought a new/unopened UniT for crazy low price, too good to be true ?

I don't know if I should say where/what, but it was big main site with paypal and from a seller that hasn't sold much. It was not an auction and most of the price was $15 shipping. And it's considered a good uni-t. All the spec's are on the page, or most, and the package contents, etc....so it's not a picture of a uni-t

I've never jumped on anything like that, does this sound too good to be true ? Have to wait 2-3 months, paypal insurance is 180 days, but that's a hassle.

If you paid via PayPal, please check about that buyer protection period.

Having to wait 2-3 months sounds like the perfect "keep them hanging until it's too late" ploy.

IDK, I reported the item/seller, asked seller for refund, we shall see. Time to read up on getting a refund if that fails.


I wouldn't mind if it was some counterfeit version, I just wanted another cheap DMM I could take out in the field, and not care if it got stolen.

2-3 weeks is more typical

3-4 weeks to Australia is typical.  Getting something earlier is possible - but rare.

2-3 months is a period I have NEVER been quoted.

The shipping time to the far east coast of Canada, from China, is pretty much always listed as +45 business days. A few years ago it might have been 35-45 Bdays, then for the last 1-2 years it was usually 45-60Bdays, then the last year for super eco-shipping, times of up to 71 days were listed.

Just lately they've dropped to under 60b days again.

And I live in the provincial capital, St.John's.

I got a UT61E for about half price on what was seemingly a shady auction. It turned out to be the real deal, but since I live in the US the overall transaction would take 10 days tops (it arrived in 5).

Yup hope I'm as lucky. I asked the seller to cancel a few hours later, still no reply. Says the seller doesn't ship for 5 days, that was Sat/Sunday, still not listed as shipped

Still selling them and others are buying them, ebay never sent me anything about me flagged the price.
