logic analyzers sample rate
« on: February 11, 2015, 04:11:50 pm »
I was wondering when you have a logic analyzer say 8 channels and a max sample rate of 250 MS/s is the sample rate split between all the channels like it is on an oscilloscope?

Depends on the specific hardware.  Usually, it's split, though, in my limited experience.

on a real logic analyser most of the time it is on all channels simultaneously. unless explicitly stated that it is for half channel or quarter channel only.

Agilent typically will stat it like this :
4Mp / 1Gss  8Mp / 2Gss half channel
