Made a component Tester /curve Tracer today
« on: March 31, 2013, 06:32:03 pm »
Made a component tester today , on the input I've put the usual banana sockets plus a bnc type, plus I've added a couple of chokes on the 6v rail, bit of power conditioning, I've tried to keep it neat on the inside. Which is what I feel is the best way forward, the  trace on the scope is of an Electrolytic capacitor, I'm very pleased with the way it's come out, accept it will be better once , I've mastered the graphics program , then I won't need to use labels.
Station monitor next.

Nice!  Looks like an octopus!  Let's see some curves of diodes and such!

Here are a few33uf elect,4.7 uf dipped,1n914,en220a, & a power supply diode, something I have noticed that some electroylic show a vertica sort line, and so do some diodes, a resistor shows anything from a  horizontal line to a 45 deg line.
So not sure if it is sensitive enough from the 6.3 side of the transformer in series with vertical side is a 560 ohm resistor between both sides of the 6.3 rail is a 100 ohm resistor, which goes to the red side of the probe & from the vertical side o, to the black side of the probe is 1000k resistor. not sure if I could make it more sensitive which different values. have diagram if needed so resistors used are 560 ohm,100 ohm,1000k ohms.

I have this very interesting capacitor picture from late 70' power supply control board. 200uF, 25V, SPRAGUE.

Regards
Ha-ha-ha. That's good, too!
