Hi,

I need to replace 32k x 8bit sram chip - MCM6206DJ25 (http://datasheet.eeworld.com.cn/pdf/MOTOROLA/120846_MCM6206DP25.pdf). What's best place to look for replacements? I mean sites that list compatible parts.

I found AS7C256A-20JCN available here in PL (by just looking for sram chips) but it's 20ns memory while original was 25ns. Not sure if replacing with fastest response time is going to work? Also AS7C256A-12JIN 12ns (http://pl.farnell.com/jsp/search/productdetail.jsp?sku=1562910) if I order at farnell.

Faster will work, it will not worry that it is faster in many cases. Slower can work, but will be dicey depending on just how much window there is left to latch the data off the bus while it is valid. Faster will have it there sooner and will wait..

The specs on the datasheet seemed fine, but the logic block diagrams looked a bit odd relating to address lines...
