Modding Registered/Buffered DIMM Memory Possible?

I'm guessing this is a long shot, but is there a way to disable the register on registered/buffered computer DIMM memory?

I've found a datasheet for the type of register I mean here. I can't see any glaring DISABLE function...   :(

If there is a solution I'm guessing it's near impossible due to the use of SMD BGA packages?   Thoughts?  :-/O
