Title: MOSFET Selection for HV DC Application
Post by: 97hilfel on October 11, 2016, 07:35:25 am
Hello guys,
currently I am trying to build a Nixieclock, but I dont want to use those old russian driver ICs,
so I decided to use MC14028 BCD to Decimal decoders, in combination with a MOSFET to drive the cathode.
I am using IN-14 tubes with about 160V. In a Mr. Carlson's Lab video the MSPA42 NPN Transistor is suggested, but this transistor does not exist in SOT23 (which I want to use). So I found the BSS131, but are there better choises?
Felix

MPSA42 in SMD: FMMTA42 or PMBTA42

I used BSS131 in a nixie clock, works great.
