Mount power relay on vectorboard
« on: April 05, 2014, 06:27:03 am »
I picked up this power relay from digikey the other day: http://www.digikey.ca/product-search/en?WT.z_header=search_go&lang=en&site=ca&keywords=t9as1d12-5&x=10&y=10&formaction=on
I didn't realize the pin pitch doesn't match my vectorboard. Is there some kind of adapter socket? Kind of like a DIP socket for relays? I'm not sure to stably mount it to the board.

Didn't realize sparkfun has a PCB for it. Ordered a few of them. Should be easier than trying to jury-rig the relay to a protoboard.

In the past I've drilled the board and used wires to join it to pads.
Software by day, hardware by night; blueAcro.com
