new scope, need probes

Hi all

Just purchased my first scope off ebay, its a cheap low spec one
and doesnt come with probes, i am not going to be doing anything
important with it, its just for experimenting and playing with at
beginners level, going to use it for developing mic preamps and
basic stuff like that.

is it worth the extra for me to get decent probes or is it okay for
to get a pair of cheap probes for the stuff i plan on doing with it ?

Hi, I think taht even the cheapest probes should be fine if you don't want any high frequencies

Those cheap probes work very well for anything under 50MHZ and can be had from Ebay very cheaply I get the sets of four for under £20.00 including shipping, they are cheap enough not to worry about damaging the tips etc. I also fixed a set to 10 X and fitted identification pins so that they would switch my scope to the correct reading I have another pair set to 1X with pins on them as well I just put some supewr glue on the switches so mistakes are not made.

Get cheap ones, I dont think you need high frequency ones. Cheap set of probes on ebay:
