« on: March 01, 2016, 03:20:08 pm »
Hi, Today I received two DS1230Y-150 with code (C 1037 358 079), it is possible to know whether they are fresh?

Hello klaus11,

A photo would be best as other clues may be revealed.

My guess the date code is 1037 - 37th week of 2010.

Provided the DS1230Y have not been previously installed into a system, then the "freshness seal" is still good. It is not unusual for the lithium battery to last much longer than 10 years. But we do not know the conditions of storage for the past five years. This is only a guess, there is a possibility that the full 10 year data retention may not be met. Is five to seven years acceptable?

Thank, I also think they are not new and some old. I hate buying components on Ebay.
