Ordered New leads
« on: October 11, 2013, 04:21:35 pm »
Just wondering how long it may take to get leads from Frankie's ebay site? Just ordered a real nice 14 gauge Banana plug set, but still have not received a shipping statement. Only been two days though. There going to Orlando Florida.

Most people in the USA say around 2 weeks depending on customs, etc.

Franky, AKA iloveelectronics on this forum, is a great guy and a very honest person. As a matter of disclosure, I have received items for review from Franky. I can assure you that this has not colored my opinion of him. I have also purchased many things from him.

I in no way mean to imply that something is wrong here. Just had no idea how long it takes to get here from Hong Kong. I have total faith in Franky, and his products seem to be very high quality. Wish I would have ordered some adaptors for the other end. I will do so as soon as I figure out what I want. Wish he sold those nice breadboard leads I see coming from China.

I should also say that Franky has some better prices on certain items if you contact him here and don't use ebay. Send him a PM if you want to know if he can give you a better price.

Having a set of those.. they're nasty. Don't get those. Almost no copper in them and about 10% of them will be open circuit.

Really. Thanks for the heads up! To bad because the concept is really nice. Is there anyone who sells proper ones?

Actually most of the time it only takes about 1 week, but due to the recent issue with lithium battery screening at the airport, it sometimes does take an additional few days.

Ah, so that's who he is.  I would hear Martin talk about him all the time but didn't realize that he was the 99cent hobbies guy.

Yes, Franky really is good. He just got back to me with the tracking number, and said he is handling the ribbon style jumpers next week, so I will be ordering those from him as well.

Frankie is fast, but the biggest delay is your local post office. With mine I always allow 6 weeks, as they are still on strike over pay, but nobody has noticed.

I have both sets of jumpers. If you want better quality (a little bit more expensive) to connect to test probes or analyzers you can buy some from Shmartboard
http://www.schmartboard.com/index.asp?page=products_jumpers
The cheap Dupont type with square shape won't fit on most of the test hooks.  :)

Get this type instead: http://www.taydaelectronics.com/connectors-sockets/jumper-wire-dupont.html

I just add these to my tayda parts order along with the set of 10 alligator clips.  Both Items are really good quality.

I've also had good experience with Frankie - he offers some clip leads that are very hard to find.

A postal strike ended not too long ago in Chile (delayed a package I sent to another member). Glad it's over and he got it, as I was seriously concerned it would never arrive (he warned me that packages have a habit of "disappearing" during transport there).

Hope you get any shipments you're waiting on soon.  :)

Tayda is great. I've ordered from them several times now - products are cheap, shipping is cheap, quality so far has been good as well.

Hey Frankie,

do you know if the problem with the ebay censoring still exists? I mean that some people can't see all of your listings.

It happens from time to time. It's very odd, one could think eBay is doing that on purpose...

One more very satisfied customer of Franky. As previous stated, very honest salesman. I would rather get items from him at 20% higher price because I know I will get quality product and tested before shipping. Bought a few times from him and everything was perfect.
