Hi,
My Altec Lansing FX4021 2.1 Powered Audio Speaker System stopped working. I opened up the sub-woofer and it's clear that
two capacitors burned
https://ibb.co/fjzp2RI have two questions on how to proceed.
1. The PCB looks burned
https://ibb.co/f3CbhR and I'm wondering if that needs any attention, what to do with it, does it need cleaning and with what?
2. I can't pull the PCB out
(yeah, I know). From the inside it looks like some silicon or such was used to
melt it in place and from the outside it looks like this
https://ibb.co/dYvwhR. After that melted bloob, the power cable
continues until it's yet again glued to the wall of bass reflex tube. There is no place where I can just disconnect it.
I did few electronics projects loooong time ago, but I have working soldering iron and it would be a shame to
through away such a nice speaker system, even if it's cheap.
Thanks for any answers.
