Potential Relay Replacement

I am trying to change out some of the motor starting potential relays we use at work. I was wondering if it is doable in solid state form. The relay contacts burn out fairly quickly with the number of times the motors turn on and off, probably a few hundred to a thousand times in a day. The relays run  on 120vac across the contacts and coil, and they are normally closed. I attached a random schematic from google search, but it is basically the same as what I am dealing with. I thought about using triacs, but I don't really know if I can make one act as normally closed without some significant modifications to the current circuitry. Everything does have to be done with 120vac.

If you're really turning the motor on and off a lot I would use an VFD. It will also reduce the stress on the motor and shaft itself.

How does this look?

Blue goes to my start capacitor and red goes to the start winding.
