Power calculation
« on: June 03, 2016, 04:23:35 pm »
I not sure if i am asking the right question here so bare with me.  I want to calculate the power requirement for the following.

A sensor operating at 3v3 @50mA doing 100sample/sec. What would be the power usage per second or sample?

Does the sensor always draw 50mA, or only while it's sampling?  How long does the sensor take to make a sample?  What is it doing in between samples, and what is its power consumption then?  What about wakeup time?

There is no downtime, so a continuous 50mA. So would power just be 3.3V*50mA?
