Proper method to clean soldering iron barrel and nut
« on: November 26, 2017, 04:19:18 am »
Hi everyone:

I am putting in a new tip in my Weller WP25. Since the barrel and nut of the iron are really oxidized and have some of that white residue
powder on them, I'm wondering...what is the proper method to clean the barrel and nut.

Almost every soldering post and video on the web talks about tip maintenance, but makes no mention of how to clean the barrel and
nut.

Thanks in advance.

I don't know. I got a tube of this years ago and I used it on all threads.
