Prototyping RF Circuits
« on: September 10, 2013, 03:46:10 pm »
I need to duplicate a circuit that has adds ~400MHz signal to an input DC signal. The VCO and bias tee are built using parts from Mini-Circuits so I'm not too worried about the component choices, however the original build was done on pad-per-hole veroboard. If I duplicate this, am I better off using a construction technique better suited to high-frequency circuits? Should I be looking at dead-bug/manhattan style builds instead of a direct copy of the original?
