Proximity sensors required for mini quadcopter

I am looking for some really good industrial grade proximity sensors to be mounted on a mini quad (frame could fall anywhere between 90x90mm to 330x330mm) for obstacle detection and collision avoidance use cases.Distance measuring range should be well enough up to at-least 100-150cms. Although I have found some SHARP IR sensors which looks good though but still wanted to know if something better is available in the market, and optionally if they do work flawlessly in bright sunlight or in presence of overly IR prone areas.
