Pythan based GUI for embedded testing

Hi,
I am new to Python..
I have an embedded board for which i need a host GUI to
1. Test the board
2. Program firmware etc.
I have used tkinter library for developing simple GUI ...
Which will be asuitable library for the same...with good documentation
