Reading Measurements over GPIB

Hi @all,
A Little newbie question: How can i read measurments from my HP 34401A over GPIB? I have a PCI Card , a cable and the DMM but no Software. Are there any free software? or just Labview  :-//

Try Agilent IntuiLink for DMMs. If you want more flexibility, EZ-GPIB is a Pascal-like scripting environment with GPIB support.

National Instruments provide drivers that cover most GPIB cards and, for Linux at least, they are free. I can confirm that the drivers work under Linux with the C language.

install the gpib driver.

then download the free software from agilent website.
Professional Electron Wrangler.
