Title: Rigol DS1045z and my body voltage?
Post by: khtwo2002 on January 07, 2016, 07:30:14 pm
When I use my finger pick the plastic part of the probe, the ds1045z shows a 500mv 60hz wave. And if I use my finger to touch the metal part of the probe, the ds1045z shows a 10v 60hz wave. Is this normal? I'm in Canada.

Yes, it's normal to see some mangled looking 60Hz (from power distribution) sine wave at some level that varies with your location.
