Title: Rigol DS1054Z - Is there any open source software?
Post by: DougSpindler on January 30, 2018, 03:55:02 am
I'm a hobbyist than an EE.  I just purchased a Rigol DS1054Z.  I read a post in a more advanced form (hope I got it right), saying there is open source software which can be used with the scope.  Did I get that right?  Anyone know where to look or what's available?

Thanks

Scope is in the mail.  This looks interesting.  So one displays the scope screen on a Linux computer screen.  This would be perfect for the classroom.

And the other two do timed screenshots for the scope screen.   Very nice.

Ignore the YT subtitle, it's for the 1000 series.

Depends on what you want to do.

Some software takes screenshots and presents them to you, other software lets you access the raw sampled data, other software lets you access the data and work with it.

sigrok supports it, too: https://sigrok.org/wiki/Rigol_DS1000Z_series
