Sencore LC102 Display Problems

Just wondering if anyone could help me troubleshoot display issues on a Sencore LC102 Capacitor Tester?
The LCD display is exhibiting blurring of characters.
I have the operators manual but not the Service manual.
Is this a voltage problem?

I've never seen one that looks like that.  I'm guessing the LCD went bad.  It's possible it's a voltage problem but I've worked on a lot of these and it's always been the LCD itself.
