Hi Yes if possible, I have a function generator and one of the inputs states "sweep input", so I wonder if that means sweep generator input or I wonder if it means a Sweep oscillator input, then use the function generators  range, either way I don't mind , I'm just at a loss how to go about building one.

My guess is it's a VCF (Voltage Controlled Frequency) input. The voltage presented to that input determines the frequency. You would feed a ramp signal into that input and the frequency will follow the voltage of the ramp signal.

Yes I've done it, function generator on sine wave 20 kHz then I fed a 6 kHz from my signal generator into the sweep input of the generator, and its sweeping brilliant . Thanks WBB for making me use the grey matter
