Skip standby mode on power plug in
« on: September 09, 2017, 03:23:03 pm »
Hi, I have Microlab Solo6C speakers. When I plug them in (raspberry pi does that job with 220 relay) they start in standby mode, so I still need to manually turn them on by turning volume knob.
Would it be possible to skip standby mode on plug in? Maybe something like adding a relay inside speaker to imitate turning volume knob once on plug in? Maybe I could power relay from speaker 7segment display, it has power of 1.5V. What would be the schematics to do this?

Wht do you mean by running off 1.5V? The specification lists 110V.

Can they be turned on using the remote control? Perhaps you could use an IR LED to mimic the turn on signal.

1.5V is supplied to speaker display (7segment 2digit display at the bottom of one speaker) so maybe I could activate relay from it somehow?

Yes, they can be turned on using remote control. How could I mimic turn on signal?
