Hello!
I am starting out and I'd like to get proper soldering equipment, and I've been looking to buy Multicore solder but can't find it anywhere in Spain - not even Henkel's website says anything about it. Where do you get your solder?

Thank you! ;D

I bought mine from tme.eu. I think it was branded differently (but not sure). I think it was Stannol. Are Stannol and Multicore the same thing?
But even if not, I wouldn't care too much about it. The bottleneck is not flux or solder, but the engineer :). Just don't buy total crap from China, and you'll be fine, imho.

Yeah in Europe Stannol is well available. HS10 is my go-to leaded solder. :-+ - Ersa for equipment can be bought in many places. The T12 clones aren't bad either with real tips.

Spain, huh, JBC?
I'm currently using a no-name, iron that plugs directly into the mains, but I'm looking around for a good station.

It looks like they are both property of Henkel, so I'm wondering that too...

Just looked at my spool, I also use HS10. And Chinese t12. Tips not original, but I'd qualify them as very good (so far).

Just kidding, but don't go for a JBC. The price-performance return is low.
An entry level Hakko, Weller or a used Metcal should serve you well and when you are in the game, you should know whether you need a $1000+ JBC station.
Yep, I'm probably going for a Hakko 888D as I live near the official distributor so I can get one for about 100€.
