Spare equipment
« on: January 06, 2015, 10:23:29 pm »
Hi guys,

My name is Alin, I am a year 2 student at University of Huddesfield in United Kingdom at Electronical and Electrical Engineering , I am very passionate about what i do and i wanted to open a basic electronics repairing laboratory. The bad part is that i have about 150 Pounds to start my little lab. Do you know any good sites with low budget electronics (besides Ebay ) especially an oscilloscope or signal generator ? Or do you have any spare electronics equipment that you do not use or are broken ? I will pay for the shipping if you have and you want to send it. I would really appreciate  :-+ :-/O :-DMM  :-BROKE Hope to hear from you soon.

Why not eBay?

Look for a used analog oscilloscope available at a electronics swap meet or something local. You should be able to find something available in your price range. My first 'scope was a 60MHz analog two channel that I bought for $40 (USD) at a ham radio swap meet.

Build your first function generator. That will be the perfect way to test out your new oscilloscope! There are lots of free designs based on 555 timers or Exar chips that will be suitable. Pick one and just build it.
