Switching power supply not working
« on: July 20, 2014, 01:09:26 am »
Hello all,

I've built a switch mode power supply using a laptop P/S incorporating 5v and adjustable lm2576 switching regulator. The problem with mine is that the adjustable output is 3v no matter how I adjust the pots. The only strange things I've noticed is that the 5v output is 16-17v and before the inductor it is 5-6v. The schematic attached is what I built it on. One thing to note is that the 5v inductor is 380uh and adjustables is 220uh.
Thank you in advance.
