Tektronix 2225 touchy switches
« on: April 22, 2016, 09:50:45 pm »
I got a Tek 2225 it has the cal label from 2007, and it seems to show the autocal properly. But the switches to change GND, AC, DC, of both channels are quite touchy. DC works fine, GND sometimes is hard to get it. But for channel 1 I can't get the AC mode to stay and on channel 2 is quite hard.
Any ideas how to fix it? Is it possible to do so without opening the oscilloscope? Would it be possible to just clean them or would they need replacement? If so are they common or hard to find?

Thanks!

If switch an open frame exposed switch contact cleaner (DeOxit), remove
scope cover and apply directly to switch.
