The book with EE interview questions?
« on: March 03, 2016, 09:46:10 am »
Hi guys,

I'm graduating soon and I have a few electronic design engineering and hardware engineering interviews coming up, obviously I want to be well prepared! :)

I recall Dave talking about a book with EE interview questions in one (or two) of his videos, he was pretty fond of it. But i can't find the title anywhere now? I think it was in a mailbag video. I scrolled through all the video's but I didn't see it in any video icon or title.

All I know is that it was a while ago (like a year). Does anybody know the book i'm searching for?

I also didn't see it in the books list on the eevblog wiki.

Thanks!

'Making Embedded Systems' has interview questions at the end of each chapter but that's more focused towards embedded systems that straight EE, obviously.

I recall this being mentioned on The Amp Hour. Maybe that's what OP was thinking of.

The best, most revealing, interview question is "tell me about one of your personal projects, why you chose it, what you learned  and what you would do differently next time" .

I don't think you will find the answer to that in any book.
There are lies, damned lies, statistics - and ADC/DAC specs.
Glider pilot's aphorism: "there is no substitute for span". Retort: "There is a substitute: skill+imagination. But you can buy span".
